How do we install Zzoomm at your property?

Connecting your home to the Zzoomm network is easy, our engineers will visit your property to do the work. This typically takes less than two hours and with our free expert set up and the installation of a new Zzoomm Hub it’s all worth a whopping £650 – that we give to you FREE!

There are three ways we may install Zzoomm Full Fibre at your home:

through a small channel in the ground
using existing underground ducting
from an overhead pole

The option we use depends on how our network reaches your property. This means we’ll choose the best method for your home, so customers are not able to select a different installation route.

Installation through a small channel

If our network reaches a point in the ground outside your property, we may need to dig a small channel to bring the fibre to your home.

Our installers will keep the work as neat as possible and put everything back as they found it. If you have a paved or concrete driveway, we’ll talk to you about the best option before any work starts.

Installation using existing underground ducting.

If there is already suitable underground ducting at your property, we may be able to run our fibre through it. This usually means we do not need to dig a new channel.

We’ll complete a survey first to check the ducting and any existing equipment are ready for us to use. Most installations go smoothly, but we recommend keeping your current broadband active until your Zzoomm service is fully installed and working.

Installation from an overhead pole

If our network reaches your home from a nearby telephone pole, we’ll run a cable from the pole to your property and then bring it neatly down to the point where it enters your home.

We’ll survey your home first to make sure this route is suitable. We’ll always aim to use the shortest and neatest route possible to keep any impact to a minimum.

A few things to know before your installation

If we need to complete a survey, someone will need to be at home so we can check both the inside and outside of the property.
On installation day, an adult aged 18 or over must be present to approve the work once it’s complete.
For every installation type, we’ll need to drill a very small hole through the wall to bring the fibre into your home. We’ll agree the best place with you and keep it as discreet as possible.
Our installation team will talk through your needs with you. They’ll agree the best route for the connection into your home. They’ll help choose the most suitable location for your Zzoomm Hub.
