What is Zzoomm Home phone?
Our fibre powered phone line is our 21st century answer to the copper landline. Our new fibre powered phone line offers crystal clear calls via your Zzoomm internet connection, future proofing your landline giving you fibre powered digital phone calls for just £10 per month.
How it all works- VoIP explained
VoIP stands for Voice over Internet Protocol. In plain English, it means making phone calls over your broadband connection instead of a traditional phone line.
No extra cables, no separate line rental. Your voice is converted into data and sent over the internet, just like an email or a video.
The legal bit
- Home Phone costs just £10 a month on a rolling contract, so you aren’t locked into long contracts that you don’t need.
- Unlimited calls to UK landlines and mobiles, including standard geographic numbers (01, 02, 03). Fair use applies — please don’t run a call centre from your living room.
- International and premium-rate numbers (0843/4/5, 0870/1/2/3, 09) are not included in the standard monthly price.
- For more information on charges, see the Call Rates and Charges guide.
- Power & network outages: no power or no broadband = no home phone. Keep a charged mobile as backup for emergencies.
Frequently asked questions
When will my service go live?
Your Home phone service will be live within 2 working days from your broadband service being installed and activated.
What equipment do I need?
- Zzoomm WiFi hub: You can plug your phone into the phone port on the back of the Zzoomm WiFi hub.
- Any other Zzoomm router: We’ll send a phone adapter to connect your home phone to your Zzoomm router.
How will I know my number?
Your number will be sent to you via email once your broadband service is live.
When will my number transfer?
If you have requested to bring your number with you it will take approximately 12 days to migrate across once your Broadband service is set up. So please do not cancel your contract with the other provider or you will lose your number. We'll update you throughout the porting process. If you have followed the One Touch Switch process don't worry we will do this for you. Remember you can use your temporary number whilst you are waiting for your number to be ported so you can make all your essential calls.
